Project Description
Project Zero
Project Zero is a unique megayacht design concept, produced for an exceptional brief. She is a 150-meter yacht with three helipads; a dedicated maintenance hangar; 60+ crew; and copious space for Owner accommodation, as well as VIP and guest accommodation for 36 pax. Her design includes a 22-meter interior swimming pool, whose scale required a custom invention to offset the effect of marine waves on the pool’s body of water.
Francis Design Consulting developed a new system that was extensively tested at the FORCE Technology facility in Denmark. The system measures and records the crest of each marine wave, then releases it simultaneously back into the swimming pool at a different frequency to cancel out a potential wave effect. The invention was proven to successfully attenuate the effect of severe sea states in the swimming pool, even in conditions where it would normally require crew to empty the pool.
